Insight Study was set up in November 2008 to provide high quality English courses for adult and junior students, good value summer programmes and year-round group travel for our young learners – with a strong focus on student welfare and excellent customer service.
Eventually, the company was incorporated and registered with Companies House UK in November 2009.
In December 2010, we moved from our Canada Water location to new offices in Greenwich, which allowed the company to grow.
In 2011 we offered three summer centre locations; Greenwich, Oxford and Reading. We continued developing our group travel programme and as a result, had particular success with the Italian PON projects which ran from June to November.
In January 2014 we finally moved to our current location on Trafalgar Road in Greenwich. The school building offers a range of room sizes. As a result, we managed to create six well-equipped classrooms. We also created a quiet study/computer room, student library, and a bright student area for break-out times. The school’s location is on a bustling high street and close to all local amenities. This means shops, cafes, a newly-built modern leisure centre are all within easy reach.
Most of all, Historical Greenwich town centre is just a stones throw away. The Queens House, National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark Tea Clipper are within walking distance. Due to the excellent transport links nearby, travelling into Central London quick and easy.
In addition, we were inspected by ABLS this year and awarded accreditation with a silver level for welfare and junior care.
The school name changed from Insight StudyUK to Insight Study Greenwich due to the new relocation.
On top of providing courses for our young learner groups, we have also been developing our year-round adult English courses.
This year we ran a new summer centre at Medway Campus which was a big success. In addition, we also setup a new website with new branding and signage, and an all new administrative team.
In May, British Council inspected the school and as a result, we were awarded accreditation in July.
We also became a registered SELT exam preparation course provider so you can find us listed on the Trinity College website.
As a result of last year’s success, we will be running our summer centres at Medway Campus and in Greenwich this year due to the increased student numbers. We also received positive feedback on last year’s residential accommodation options and therefore will be offering them again for this year’s summer intake.
In addition to the above, we will also be working on new vocational projects and improving existing courses for junior travel groups.
