The Young Learners Summer School programme is designed with the learner’s age and ability in mind. The focus is on developing communication skills through speaking, listening, writing and reading.

The programmes are for 10-14 & 15-17 year olds.

The Summer School is run off-site from our main school building on Trafalgar Road. We use classroom space provided by the University of Greenwich based at the Avery Hill Campus – just a short bus ride away from the centre of Greenwich**

The class times are: 9am -12.15pm Monday to Friday.

Our teachers prepare fun and interactive lessons that challenging the students to engage and participate fully.

Classes are engaging with fun activities and topics suited to age and level and, most importantly, summer school students will not be doing the same thing twice in class regardless of how many weeks they have enrolled for.

Students receive a certificate of achievement at the end of their course and a final report with comments on their progress during the course.

(** For more details of the off site centres please email or call one of the operations team, and we will be happy to give you more information)

The rooms are formed of ‘clusters/blocks’ of 5 (or 6) flats. Each room has a private bathroom, with a shared kitchen and living area.

Students share their blocks with children of the similar age and from different countries which should allow them to mix, speak English and start new friendships.

If you are travelling as part of a group then you will be placed with a members of your own school group in the block.

During Summer School, Insight Study Activity staff are residential – they will be accommodated in the same blocks as the students. They are on hand 24 hours a day to deal with any problems that you may have, even late into the night.

You will also have access to a 24-hour emergency telephone number. As well as our staff there are also security guards on site to ensure that your stay is as safe as it possibly can be.
